Banshee Stealer variant targets Russian-speaking macOS users

Check Point researcher Antonis Terefos warns of a rising threat from the Banshee Stealer malware to the increased number of macOS users worldwide, including Russia. The malware, which sells for $3,000 per month, can capture credentials and cookies stored by popular browser extensions and infiltrate the system’s Keychain. Despite a leak of its source code, the malware is persistently distributed through phishing websites, creating an element of fear among the 100 million potential macOS user targets.
