Artificial intelligence (AI) is being increasingly used in healthcare, including in applied behaviour analysis (ABA). AI’s potential includes analysing complex behavioural patterns and supporting decision-making in treatment plans. However, the technology also raises ethical questions, which need to be addressed by a specific framework. Ethical guidelines set by the Behavior Analysts Certification Board (BACB) stress being truthful, maintaining confidentiality and data security, alongside AI as a treatment support but not replacement.
