New Zealand-based medical device firm Wellumio has launched a subsidiary in California to accelerate US-based clinical trials and commercial rollout of its portable stroke detection device, Axana. The move also signals the company’s closer approach to regulatory approval. The device uses Pulsed Gradient Free Mapping technology to offer insights into the severity and extent of a stroke at the bedside, cutting time taken for detection and treatment.
