A newly-discovered Android malware, FireScam, is being spread through a fake version of the Telegram Premium app on phishing sites imitating Russia’s RuStore. On installation, it asks for extensive permissions and captures user credentials. It can maintain persistent communication with a remote database, track user activity, and steal valuable information. The malware uses advanced evasion techniques, making it extremely dangerous.
