The Security Editor for MakeUseOf discovered adware in his computer during a Malwarebytes scan. He was surprised to find adware.elex, a generic adware family believed to be from China, on his system despite taking security and privacy seriously. He was able to delete the adware using an antivirus tool, but warned that Google Chrome Sync could cause it to reappear.
