The malware steals user’s credentials, tracks device activity, and even monitors e-commerce transactions to capture sensitive data. Threat management company Cyfirma advises caution when opening files from potentially untrusted sources or clicking on unfamiliar links.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has fined Elgon Information Systems $80,000 following a ransomware attack in 2023 that saw over 31,000
