7-Zip Zero-Day Exploit Allegedly Leaked Online

A hacker allegedly leaked a critical 7-Zip zero-day exploit that lets attackers execute arbitrary code on a victim’s machine if a special file is opened or extracted with the latest 7-Zip version. The major security vulnerability, CVE-2024-11477, significantly increases cybersecurity risks as it can be used to install Infostealer malware, which secretly extracts sensitive data from infected systems. The hacker hinted at releasing another zero-day exploit soon.
