Health care giant Ascension says 5.6 million patients affected in cyberattack

Health care company Ascension suffered a cyberattack that resulted in the loss of sensitive data for around 5.6 million people. The attack, which was attributed to a notorious ransomware gang, caused significant service disruptions. The stolen data included names, medical records, payment information, insurance details, government identification, and personal information.
