Healthcare organizations are rapidly adopting AI to enhance patient engagement and improve operational productivity. However, there’s a gap between AI transparency and personalization as perceived by healthcare providers and patients. As per the Twilio’s 2024 State of Nonprofit Digital Engagement Report, 88% of healthcare institutions believe they’re transparent with AI data use, while only 1 in 4 patients agree. Also, only 6% of healthcare nonprofits personalize communications, though two-thirds of patients deem this highly important. To address these, more transparency in data usage and better personalized communication are required.
