Cyber surge increases as 467,000 malicious files were detected daily in 2024: Kaspersky, ET CIO SEA

Kaspersky discovered an average of 467,000 malicious files per day in 2024, a 14% increase compared to 2023. Significant growth was seen in Trojan detections, which surged by 33%. Windows remained a primary target of cyberattacks, accounting for 93% of all daily detected malware. The study also noted a 150% increase in Trojan-droppers and a rise in banking malware.
