German authorities have disrupted a significant malware operation affecting approximately 30,000 Android devices. The BADBOX malware, likely originating from China, came pre-loaded on older firmware devices and undertook activities such as account creation for spreading misinformation, ad fraud, and acts as a residential proxy service.
