The EU’s new Cyber Resilience Act has entered into force, imposing mandatory cybersecurity requirements for all connected products. With exceptions for specific exclusions, the legislation applies to products from baby monitors to smart watches. Manufacturers must ensure their products are compliant by 2027 and will be labelled with a CE marking to signify compliance. In addition, the Act includes an obligation to provide a duty of care for product lifecycles.
