Apple iOS devices are more vulnerable to phishing than Android

A mobile threat report from security firm Lookout challenges the belief that iPhones are immune to phishing attacks, revealing iOS devices are more vulnerable than Androids. The rise in sophistication of mobile threats has led to an increase in incidents of espionage. The report was released around the same time of a significant outage across Meta’s online platforms, including Facebook and WhatsApp, causing speculation of a targeted cyberattack. Meanwhile, the FBI warned against using traditional messaging services due to lack of encryption.
