North Korean hackers group, AppleJeus or Citrine Sleet, pretended to be a former contractor and sent a malware-laced PDF via Telegram, enabling the theft of over $50m from crypto platform, Radiant Capital. The malware, named INLETDRIFT, infected macOS devices and the attack was so sophisticated, it went unnoticed during regular checks. Radiant Capital has engaged with law enforcement to recover the assets and stressed the need for robust security as the DeFi industry grows.
