‘AppLite Banker’ lures victims with job offers, infects devices with trojan

Cyber attackers posing as job recruiters are launching mobile-targeted phishing campaigns to trick users into downloading a malicious app that installs a new variant of the Antidot banking trojan on Android devices. The ‘AppLite Banker’ trojan steals corporate credentials, access to applications, and data when victims use their devices for remote work, and disguises itself as Chrome and TikTok apps. Experts highlight this scam’s danger, as it shows the increasing trend of mobile-specific phishing campaigns.
