A group called Earth Minotaur has launched attacks using an updated MOONSHINE exploit kit to target Tibetans and Uyghurs in a global cyberespionage campaign. The group uses messaging apps to send malware-laden links pretending to be music and dance videos. Once clicked on, the DarkNimbus backdoor is downloaded, allowing hackers access to phone calls, photos, and messages from various apps. The attack primarily targets Windows and Android devices.
