Three Merseyside hospitals – Alder Hey Children’s, the Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital and Royal Liverpool University Hospital – have suffered a cyberattack. The incident is under investigation, and follows a similar attack on Wirral’s Arrowe Park hospital. Services have largely been restored but some disruptions are expected as systems are reinstated. Authorities are working with the National Crime Agency and National Cyber Security Centre.
