Mobile security firm iVerify has developed an app that scans iPhones for NSO Group’s Pegasus spyware, which can covertly access nearly all data on a smartphone without user interaction. Users can scan their phones and send the results to the company for analysis for a one-time fee of $1. Since release, the app has identified seven instances of Pegasus infection.
