Ransomware hackers target NHS hospitals with new cyberattacks

UK National Health Service trusts, including major children’s hospitals, continue to be targeted in a wave of ransomware cyberattacks. The Russia-linked group Inc Ransom claims to have accessed patient records, donor information and more, with data potentially being published before investigations conclude. The NHS’s attempts to enhance its resilience to such attacks are ongoing, with a Cyber Security and Resilience Bill set for introduction in 2025.
