US authorities arrested Anatoly Legkodymov, a Russian residing in China, nine months later after hunting the cryptocurrency exchange Bitzlato which laundered $4.58 billion worth of cryptocurrency transactions. Mikhail Matveyev, a suspect from ransomware groups, was also arrested by Russian authorities.

The North Korean state-linked hacker group ScarCruft conducted a cyber-espionage campaign against South Koreans, using Internet Explorer zero-day vulnerabilities to deploy RokRAT malware. The group
