A cyber incident has caused a major disruption at the Trust, affecting all its clinical activities, forcing staff to perform all tasks manually and causing cancellation of appointments. Although some services are still affected a week later, Wirral University Teaching Hospital is reinstating their main clinical system and prioritising emergency treatment. During this time, they urge the public to use the emergency department only for urgent cases.
