Free, France’s second largest ISP, confirms data breach after leak

Free, a major French ISP, confirmed a breach of its systems resulting in the theft of personal customer information. Free is France’s second-largest telecommunications company with 22.9 million mobile and fixed subscribers. The data stolen is reportedly being auctioned on BreachForums by an actor known as “drussellx”. According to the threat actor, the breach affects 19.2 million customers and includes over 5.11 million IBAN numbers.
