Microsoft Boosts Device Security With Windows Resiliency Initiative

Microsoft is revamping Windows following a flawed update that caused widespread commercial damage. The company outlined its new Windows Resiliency Initiative at the Microsoft Ignite conference. The initiative will be launched in 2025 and aims to improve system security and recovery times. Microsoft will also use more robust programming languages and create tools for developers to build products outside of the system kernel. The new version of Windows will continue to be developed under the guidance of the U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA).
