OncoSwab, co-founded by Andrea Stephany, is developing an at-home nasal swab test for the detection of lung cancer, an idea inspired by Covid-19 testing methods. The method analyses nasal swabs for lung cancer biomarkers, which are analysed using a proprietary algorithm. OncoSwab is still early-stage and will require further capital to proceed with clinical research. The motivation behind the project comes from Stephany’s personal experience with the prolonged diagnostic procedures her mother endured.
