Russian cybercriminal Mikhail Pavlovich Matveev has been arrested in connection with the LockBit and Hive ransomware operations. Matveev was charged by the U.S. government in May 2023 for launching ransomware attacks globally. He has also reportedly managed a team to conduct ransomware attacks and has had significant roles with various ransomware groups, including Babuk and Evil Corp.
