UK hospital network postpones procedures after cyberattack

The Wirral University Teaching Hospital (WUTH), a major UK healthcare provider, has been hit by a cyberattack causing system outages, appointment and procedure delays, and increased waiting times. The attack prompted the hospital to isolate its systems and revert to manual operations. The restoration of the systems is expected to take some time. No ransomware groups have yet claimed responsibility, and the exact nature of the attack remains unclear.
