Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Trust has been hit by a cyber attack that has disrupted patient appointments and forced staff to maintain records manually. All hospitals within the trust are affected and outpatients’ appointments for two days have been cancelled. While the issue is being resolved, patients are being encouraged to use emergency departments only for urgent cases.
