Four US Senators have introduced the Health Care Cybersecurity and Resiliency Act of 2024 aiming to tackle healthcare cyberattacks and ransomware cases. The Act would provide grants to healthcare organizations with a focus on-underserved communities. This would improve their cybersecurity measures, regulations and response plans. The legislation comes following increased cyberattacks on the healthcare sector, costing an average of $10 million per breach.
