The Chinese hacking group known as Earth Estries has been linked to attacks on South East Asian telecommunication firms using the previously undiscovered backdoor, GHOSTSPIDER. The group, also known as FamousSparrow, GhostEmperor, and Salt Typhoon, has reportedly compromised at least 20 entities in over a dozen countries including the US, India, and Taiwan.
