9 months after the largest healthcare breach in history, UnitedHealth subsidiary back online

Change Healthcare, a unit of UnitedHealth Group, resumed its medical billing services nine months after a massive ransomware attack disrupted systems nationwide, affected pharmacies including CVS Health and Walgreens, cost hospitals millions in unprocessed claims, and compromised personal health data of about 100 million people. The cyberattack had a serious impact on cash flows for over 80% of hospitals, while an investigation into any potential violation of patient privacy laws is ongoing.
