Security researchers have identified an updated version of infostealer malware, Python NodeStealer, which can now target Facebook Ads Manager accounts, pilfer credit card information, and steal data stored in browsers. Using Windows Restart Manager, it can unlock database files to steal sensitive information such as cardholders’ names, card expiration dates, and card numbers. Python NodeStealer is believed to be developed by a threat actor in Vietnam, with the main goal of compromising Facebook accounts for malvertising campaigns.
