Another Day, Another Ransomware Attack, This Time on American Associated Pharmacies

American Associated Pharmacies (AAP) has been hit by a ransomware attack from Embargo, a group that emerged earlier this year. The attack, which reportedly stole 1.469 TB of AAP’s data, has resulted in a $1.3m payment by AAP for decryption and a further $1.3m demand to prevent data exposure. AAP has reset all user passwords in response to the breach.
