DHS intros framework for AI safety and security, in healthcare and elsewhere

The US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has released a set of recommendations to facilitate the safe and secure development and deployment of artificial intelligence (AI) across all US critical infrastructure, including healthcare. The document was developed in consultation with stakeholders across public and private sectors complying with President Biden’s executive order on AI. It identifies three primary categories of AI safety and security vulnerabilities in critical infrastructure: AI attacks, attacks targeting AI systems, and design and implementation failures.
