Amazon confirmed a data breach revealing 2.8 million lines of employee data, including names and contact information, resulting from a widespread hack on the MOVEit data transfer tool in May 2023. The breach, from a third-party service provider, did not compromise sensitive information such as Social Security numbers or financial details. Data from several other notable companies was also leaked.
