Law enforcement operation takes down 22,000 malicious IP addresses worldwide

Interpol, together with international police agencies and cybersecurity organisations, carried out a major operation against online fraud. The five-month-long initiative, Operation Synergia II, led to the arrest of 41 people, seizure of over 1,037 servers, and shutdown of 22,000 IP addresses. The operation targeted individuals involved in phishing, data theft, and spreading ransomware. The three cybersecurity firms involved were Group-IB, Kaspersky, and Team Cymru.
