Casio suffered a ransomware attack earlier this month, resulting in stolen customer data along with personal information of employees, contractors and business partners, sensitive company data. Underground, a ransomware group linked to the Russia-linked group, Storm-0978, claimed responsibility for the attack and reportedly stole more than 200GB of data from Casio. The full extent of the damage is still under investigation and some of Casio’s systems remain unusable.
