Fidelity says data breach exposed personal data of 77,000 customers

Fidelity Investments has confirmed a data breach in August affected over 77,000 customers, exposing personal data including Social Security numbers and driver’s licenses. The firm detected unknown third parties accessing its systems via two newly established customer accounts. There is no indication any access was gained to customer accounts.
