South Australia’s Royal Adelaide Hospital (RAH) has implemented a digital system for prescribing cancer treatment. The cloud-based system, called iQemo, is provided by Altera Digital Health, and replaces a previously used paper-based system. iQemo features scheduling, dispensing, chemotherapy administration and comprehensive reporting. It is being used by more than 450 RAH clinicians for the management of over a thousand patients. The digitalisation project is part of a statewide programme aiming to minimise dosing errors to improve patient safety.
