France’s second-largest telecoms provider, Free, disclosed a cyber attack where threat actors purportedly accessed customer data. The company confirmed that no passwords, bank cards, or communication content were affected. The firm filed a criminal complaint and informed France’s national data protection agencies. While passwords and bank card details were reportedly not compromised, the accessed data includes customer names, postal addresses, phone numbers, and emails. Measures have been immediately taken to mitigate the security breach.
