The breach occurred due to a software vulnerability that was exploited before a protective patch could be issued. Notifications have been sent to affected individuals and free credit monitoring for a year has been offered. Healthcare organizations are advised to enhance data security protocols and regularly conduct audits to prevent such incidents.
