Malware Targets Python Package Index, Steals Sensitive Data

Checkmarx cybersecurity firm has identified a malware on the Python Package Index (PyPI), a platform used by Python developers, which steals sensitive user data. The malware imitates decoding applications for popular wallets like MetaMask, Atomic, TronLink, and Ronin. Despite efforts to remove it, the malware returned in October and has since been downloaded over 3,700 times. This attack is part of a growing trend of cybercrime targeting developer hubs and Android smartphones.
