Internet Archive reels from ‘catastrophic’ cyberattack, data breach | News

Internet Archive, the web pages repository, was taken down following a major cyberattack that exposed millions of users’ data. The attackers, believed to be a pro-Palestinian group, also defaced the site. The attacks have been described as a series of distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) and exposed usernames, emails and passwords of users. With the organisation working on restoring services, founder Brewster Kahle confirmed that Internet Archive’s data has not been corrupted.
