Cybercriminals capitalize on poorly configured cloud environments

Elastic has reported that off-the-shelf offensive security tools and misconfigured cloud environments are vulnerabilities for cyberattacks. Offensive Security Tools, such as Cobalt Strike, accounted for 54% of malware alerts. Misconfigurations in Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, and Amazon Web Services also pose security risks. Cybercriminals are becoming more sophisticated, using proxies and exploiting vulnerabilities. Enterprises are encouraged to improve security measures, reduce attack surfaces, and safeguard data to detect threats.
