Particle Health has filed a lawsuit against Epic Systems, claiming that the firm is using its monopoly over electronic health records to block customers from accessing full patient medical records. The lawsuit also alleges that Epic Systems is preventing Particle Health from competing in the payer platform market. Particle says that Epic’s actions have harmed patient care and violated the Sherman Antitrust Act.
