The Terasaki Institute for Biomedical Innovation has received a multi-million dollar grant from the National Institutes of Health to further research into organ transplantation and antibody-mediated rejection. The funding will help develop a multi-organs-on-a-chip platform, designed to enhance understanding of transplant rejection and immune tolerance by simulating the physiological functions of liver and heart allografts.
