The University of Colorado School of Medicine has been awarded $5m from the US Department of Defense to work on clinical and logistical challenges associated with combat operations in Ukraine. Their Research and Scalable Infrastructure to Improve Outcomes on the Front Lines (RESOLUTE) programme will focus on antibiotic-resistant wound infections in the context of military conflict, initially dealing with up to 1,000 patients. The study intends to build a scalable infrastructure for data collection and initiate further research.
