A High Court judge has ordered the hackers behind a ransomware attack on Synnovis, a pathology services provider, to identify themselves and return or delete stolen data. The Russian cyber gang Qilin reportedly targeted Synnovis on June 3, obtaining medical data from over 100,000 patients, leading to more than 10,000 NHS appointments being cancelled. The judge has granted Synnovis’s request for an interim injunction to prevent further data release.
