The Total Hospital Information System (tHIS) used across the northern state of Kedah in Malaysia experienced a system failure, leading to more than 24-hour disruption. The breakdown, which affected approximately 3,000 patients, significantly impacted patient registration and caused delays in treatment. Plans to upgrade the current tHIS system to cloud-based servers are now reportedly underway to prevent future incidents.
