Oxford University professor warns of cyber attacks on NHS

Over 6,000 medical procedures at London hospitals were postponed due to a June cyber attack. Ciaran Martin, a professor at the universities, expressed horror but not surprise and mentioned the global threat of ransomware attacks on healthcare providers. He further criticised the NHS’s outdated IT systems. NHS England confirmed that data stolen in the attack on pathology services provider Synnovis has been published online.
