Over 6,000 appointments and procedures were postponed at major London hospitals due to a cyber attack in June. Most services were at ‘near normal’ levels, but pathology services were operating at 54% of their pre-attack capacity. Russian cyber gang Qilin is suspected to be behind the attack, which led to patient data being published online. NHS England says it could take weeks to identify those affected.

The recovery process following a cyber attack on UK pathology services provider, Synnovis, is nearing completion with almost all services back to normal. The attack
